My BABY Is 14!

I can't believe that my Baby is 14!
Where did the time go?

It feels like just yesterday she believed in the Tooth Fairy.
It feels like yesterday that she loved spaghetti-o's.
It feels like yesterday that I would carry her off to bed.

Today, we picked out a birthday outfit for school.
Today she wore a sequined birthday tiara.
Today she shared chocolate chip cookies with friends.

Today, our smart, funny, talented, beautiful and messy daughter is
14.
We are so blessed.

Enuff Freakin Snow

I know that most of you are probably feeling about the same way. ENUFF FREAKIN SNOW! MC had seen enough snow to last him until next year. He's had a love affair with his snow blower for the last few weeks, and I think he's ready to dump her! He's been shoveling, scraping, chopping and snow blowing every night after work. Poor guy, "He look like he tired!" On the other hand, I've been cleaning, scraping and digging out cars at the dealership. There's over 350 vehicles to clean and move every storm. Some of the smaller sedans, Yaris, Prius and Scions, you can hardly see under the piles of snow. I don't remember storms that dropped this much snow since 1978. I was Tess' age and can remember snow drifts 5 feet tall and losing power for days. Thank God we haven't lost any power b/c we live with electric 'everything'. Heat, water, septic, you get the idea. So, if Mr Groundhog is correct, SPRING should be here soon. But hey, who's counting on that fur ball anyway?

Another Birthday has come and gone.
#47 for me, to be exact.
No issues with turning a new number.
That's all it is, a number.
And, I actually like the number.
People always seem to ask if I feel my age.
(Whatever that may mean.)
NO.
I may look my age, but don't feel my age.
If I never looked in the mirror,
I THINK I STILL LOOK THE SAME AS I DID 20 YEARS AGO.
I ponder this all the time.
I don't think I'm the only one to feel this way either.

dinner and tickets to see BonJovi at Mohegan Sun Casino in March!
WAHOO! SWEET!
Tess and my Mother-In-Law made me a no pudge brownie cake
which was delish!
AND
we went to Jersey on the weekend to celebrate Christmas AND my birthday!
I was treated like a QUEEN!

Once again, the Meteorologists are calling for snow.
HOW MUCH SNOW? NO ONE REALLY KNOWS!
I'm begging Tess to consider becoming a Meteorologist for the simple reason that if she was WRONG on a forecast, it would be OK.
RIGHT?
AND, she can still look pretty on tv and get paid the big $$!
I'm really tired of the, "We'll be experiencing some weather. Maybe a wintry mix.
There might be an accumulation of 3-10 inches".
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Some weather? Wintry mix? 3-10 inches?
Could you imagine living everyday life like the forecast?
You might be experiencing some mood changes. Maybe some laughing or maybe crying.
You might lose some weight this week, between 3-10 pounds.
Your pants may or may not fit.

2011 brings new hopes, dreams and adventures for all of us!

Christmas day was really magical. Now that Tess is a teenager, there's NO stress of getting
to Toys R Us trying to find that special *whatever* toy that was advertised
since Halloween and is SOLD OUT! WAHOO!
For Christmas, we all ask for things we want but don't want to buy for ourselves.
My wish list was a pretty monthly planner, sharpies, highlighters and slippers.
MC and Tess came through with a beautiful planner and accessories with a coordinating
bag by Vera Bradley AND sharpies and highlighters gallore! YES!

SOOOOOO.....my New Year's goal.....
I'm going to try and get organized for the new year. Goals include blogging at LEAST
once a week, working in the studio at LEAST once a week, updating my ETSY site every week AND
trying to make local connections to sell some of my artful goodies.
If I put my mind to it, I'm sure I can do it!
